September is Emergency Preparedness Month:

There will be an Emergency Preparedness Presentation held on September 10, 2019 at the Wysox Township Building located at 103 Lake Road, Wysox Pa 18854.

Bradford County Departmernt of Community Planning and Mapping Services was tasked with compiling the structures that will be affected by the proposed DFIRM flood zones as determined by FEMA and distributed in August of 2018.  As part of the CCO (County Coordination Outreach) meeting held in December, the municipalities along the Susquehanna River were re-evaluated and the flood zones were redrawn.  A list of addresses that will now be included in the proposed flood zones are listed on the link below.  These proposed changes could have significant ramifications for Flood Insurance Rates for both the newly added and currently incorporated structures.  Early coordination could result in wiser decision making and potentially reduced rates moving forward.  Thank you for your attention on this matter and please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.  Call Wysox Township 570-265-9200 or FEMA 866-337-8448 for any further information
